Redfield's Owner and Head Trainer
Emil Spadone, Redfield's owner and full time trainer, currently splits his time between the two locations in Califon, NJ and Ocala, FL. Both are full service boarding facilities and home base while they compete at A hunter/jumper shows up and down the east coast, almost 40 weeks out of the year. Emil's concentration is buying and selling top quality hunters and jumpers at affordable prices, and training his students who ride and compete at all levels.
Cassandra Kahle
Professional Rider and Trainer
Cassie has been one of Redfield's professional riders and trainers since 2013. She is originally from Canada where she grew up riding at her mom's Silver Fox Horse Sales. In 2009 as a junior, Cassie won the ASPCA Maclay Regional Finals held in Washington State and rode in the Maclay National Finals in New York. She was also Reserve National Champion in the Canadian Finals for the CET’s held in Toronto in 2009.
Ashley DiBongrazio Pankow
Head Trainer/Director of Redfield’s Lesson Program
Ashley DiBongrazio graduated with honors from Centenary in 2007 and received a B.S. in Equine Studies with a concentration in Teaching and Training. During her four years at Centenary she was an active member on the Intercollegiate Team, receiving top ribbons at Nationals all four years as well as being a Cachionne Cup contender. Ashley was also a three-year participant on the ANRC team, helping Centenary to the title of reserve champions her senior year.
Throughout college, Ashley had the opportunity to work under top professionals such as Ragan Roberts, Robin Fairclough, Jen Bauersachs, and Tim and Kelly Goguen. In addition, Ashley spent a semester as an intern with Centernary’s veterinarian Dr. Michael Fugaro where she broadened her knowledge of equine medicine.
Since graduating, Ashley has been working at Staysail Farm under trainer Steven Weiss for junior rider Katie Dinan. During that time, Ashley has gained experience training, managing, and preparing both horses and riders for the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings. While at Staysail, Ashley has helped play a role in Katie Dinan’s numerous accomplishments some of which include: Best Child Rider at Devon, Junior Hunter Circuit Champion in Wellington, FL., Hunter Championships at Capital Challenge, Harrisburg, and Washington, along with top Grand Prix ribbons at The Hampton Classic, HITS Saugerties, and Old Salem Farm.
Ashley is now the Head Trainer/Director of Redfield’s Lesson Program. She teaches all levels of riding from beginner to advanced and takes pride in watching her students’ progress from one level to the next. She believes that with hard work, dedication, and an open mind nothing is out of reach and anything is possible.
