Emil Spadone
Emil Spadone, Redfield's owner and full time trainer, currently splits
his time between the two locations in Califon, NJ and Ocala, FL [January
through April]. Both are full service boarding facilities and home base
while they compete at A hunter/jumper shows up and down the east coast,
almost 40 weeks out of the year. Emil's concentration is buying and selling
top quality hunters and jumpers at affordable prices, and training his
students who ride and compete at all levels.
Career Highlights: Grand Prix winner in Vermont, Monmouth, Shore Memorial,
Sussex; placed high in Culpeper and Catskills HITS; Two time grand green
hunter champion at Pennsylvania National Horse Show. Emil devotes 24-7
to buying, selling and training horses. He is a hands-on manager and trainer,
overseeing a staff of 12 and the running of both farms.

Sandy Rose
Sandy
Petraglia Rose is the head trainer/director of Redfield's
Lesson Program. Originally from Atlantic Highlands, NJ,
she trained with Leo Conroy for many years and competed in both the ASPCA
Maclay and AHSA Medal finals in 1979. Sandy was Captain of her intercollegiate
equestrian team and MVP for three years while attending The College of
St. Elizabeth in Convent Station, NJ. For two consecutive years she was
Reserve Champion in the Alumni Over Fences at the Intercollegiate National
Horse Show in the mid 1980's.
Since that time, Sandy has taught at Watchung Stables in Summit, NJ,
Palermo Show Stable in Bedminster, NJ and Brialind Farm in Chester, NJ
where she specialized in teaching young children. Sandy follows the philosophy
and principles of world-renowned trainer, George H. Morris. She teaches
the fundamentals of hunt seat equitation starting with a solid foundation
to young beginners through adult amateurs.
Sandy and her husband Tom have been married for over twenty years and
have two sons, Justin and Michael.
